CIRCULAR ECONOMY AND SUSTAINABILITY
A SUSTAINABLE AND ECO-FRIENDLY COMPANY
According to the Brundtland Report (WCED, 1987), “Sustainable development is that which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
On the basis of this premise, and also in the knowledge that natural resources are limited, Geisa Fabrics subscribes to the commitment of working daily to achieve optimisation and sustainable development in all its processes. Sustainability is one of the company’s cornerstones. In this way, we contribute to bringing about a positive change of attitude towards looking after and protecting the environment.
As fabric manufacturers, we optimise water consumption, we reduce CO2 emissions and independently and cleanly generate the electricity we need for our different weaving, dyeing and finishing processes.
Geisa Fabrics is committed to the circular economy, as the key to striking a balance between economic growth and the relentless consumption of existing natural resources.
FABRICS MADE WITH RECYCLED POLYESTER
Our recycled polyester fabrics are produced with a post-consumer yarn originating from PET plastic bottles.
Once they have been selected, sliced and melted down, they are extruded to yield a polyester chip used to produce yarn by means of a new fusion and extrusion process.

FABRICS WITH RECYCLED POLYAMIDE
Our recycled polyamide fabrics are produced with pre-consumer polyamide yarn, or in other words from waste, declassification or trace elements from the manufacture of polyamide.
This waste is shredded and melted down to obtain a new polyamide chip and remanufacture yarn by means of the fusion and extrusion process.
